Kotoko Is My Home – Blay After Contract Extension

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Justice Blay has characterized the club as his home following his contract extension for eighteen months.

The porcupines announced his stay in a statement on January 2, 2025.

Expressing his excitement, the 32-year-old said he was ready to give his best in the interest of the Kumasi-based club.

“Kotoko is my home. I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me and the incredible support from the fans. I’m ready to continue giving my all for this badge.”

Meanwhile, the Head of the Interim Management Committee of the club, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, stressed on the leadership quality of the player as the reason behind his contract extension.

“Justice is not just a player; he’s a leader and a symbol of what Kotoko stands for. We’re thrilled he’s chosen to continue this journey with us.”
For Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, Blay’s stay is “great news for all of us”.

Blay first joined Kotoko on loan during the 2019/2020 season from Medeama SC, making an instant impact by scoring 2 goals in 12 appearances.

His impressive performances earned him a permanent move to the club in the 2021/2022 season.

He has since made 56 League appearances for Kotoko.
