Kotoko Designates Baba Yara’s Green Seating Section to Away Supporters

Asante Kotoko SC has announced the designation of the green seating section at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to the supporters of visiting teams.

This is in compliance with the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In a statement dated February 26, the Porcupines reiterated its commitment to ensuring safer football environments for all stakeholders.

According to the club, it has fully complied with the FA’s directives.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and security, we also announce that the green seating section at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium has now been designated exclusively for visiting supporters (away team fans).”

It noted that the aim is proper segregation of spectators to enhance security on matchdays.

Meanwhile, it said it has appointed a Club Safety and Security Officer (CSSO) and a Liaison Officer for the supporters to oversee safety matters on matchdays and enhance communication with the regional sports security officer as instructed by the FA.

Further, the Reds announced 16 persons to lead a nationwide education of its supporters on the GFA’s safety protocols.

“They will work closely with the club and relevant security bodies to ensure our fans are well-informed and adhere to these safety measures.”
