Kotoko Ban Media from Taking Pictures and Videos of Pooley at Funeral

No media organization will be permitted to take videos and pictures of the remains of Francis Yaw Frimpong popularly known as Nana Pooley when laid in state.
This was emphasized as Asante Kotoko SC posted the flyer for the ardent fan’s funeral in a Facebook post.
“We pay our last respects to our beloved supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong (Nana Pooley), tomorrow. NB: No person or media organisation is allowed to take a video or pictures of the deceased.”
The funeral will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Heroes Park in Kumasi.
The father of six will be buried at the Ahafo Kukuom Royal Cemetery on the same day.
Nana Pooley met his untimely death after being stabbed by an assailant following a game between Asante Kotoko SC and Nsoatreman FC at Nsoatre in the Bono Region on February 2, 2025.
The tragic incident forced Kotoko to suspend participation in all football activities with the Ghana Premier League being put on hold for almost a month for better safety and security protocols to be devised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Meanwhile, a number of persons have been arrested and charged for their role in the murder including former Employment Minister, Ignatius Baffour Awuah.
The stabber has however bolted to Senegal.
