Comment
During a Parliamentary debate on February 5, 2025, over the observation of a proper 60th anniversary celebration of the death of politician Joseph Boakye Danquah, Zenator who is MP for Korle Klottey Constituency rose to talk; however, she was denied due to the chaos the discussion was creating.
The Presiding Speaker, Andrew Asiamah, revoked the opportunity for members to contribute, restricting it to only the leaders.
Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin was therefore given the floor during which a voice shouted at Zenator, “Daughter of murderer, sit down.”
In reaction to the Minority Leader’s stern look at the commentator who was not captured on camera, he retorted, “But there is evidence her father murdered people.”
Accusation
The statement was attributed to former Lands Minister, Samuel Jinapor; however, he has denied, affirming his belief in decent debates and intellectual devoid of “insults and character assassination”.
