Kofi Job Foundation Settles Medical Bills for 213 Patients
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kofi Job Construction Company, Mr Kofi Gyebi, popularly known as Kofi Job, and his wife, Dr Mrs Esther Okyere Gyebi, have donated GH¢1 million to settle the medical bills of 213 patients at the Tafo Government Hospital, Manhyia District Hospital, and Kumasi South Hospital, all within Greater Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Among the key beneficiaries of the donation were three children suffering from cancer, who are in critical need of surgical operations.
The couple, through the Kofi Job Foundation, also supported the purchase of essential hospital equipment for the three hospitals.
The presentation was made by Mr and Mrs Gyebi, who were accompanied by prominent ministers of God.
After engaging with the management of the hospitals, they visited selected wards to pray for patients and presented physical cash to cover medical bills and the procurement of hospital equipment.
This follows a similar donation made by Mr and Mrs Gyebi last year, where they contributed GH¢1 million to settle medical bills for patients at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Speaking during the ceremony, Mr Gyebi highlighted their commitment to supporting the needy.
“Even though many people are wealthy, they are not willing to help the less fortunate, but God has laid it upon my heart and that of my wife to assist the poor. That is why we set up the Kofi Job Foundation to reach out to the needy,” he said.
He added that by the grace of God, he had achieved success in life and recognised the importance of sharing blessings with others.
“It is appointed for everyone to die once, and after that comes judgment. I appeal to all Ghanaians, especially the well-to-do, to share their wealth with the needy, as the government alone cannot bear this responsibility.”
“All my wife and I need from you is your prayers,” he entreated the beneficiaries.
Dr Mrs Esther Gyebi, speaking to the media, praised her husband for his dedication to the activities of the Foundation.
“I am most grateful to God for using my husband to settle the medical bills of patients who are unable to pay, especially the three children with childhood cancers who urgently need surgical operations.”
The management of the three hospitals expressed deep appreciation for the donation.
Mrs Gladys Abban, Nursing Manager of Kumasi South Hospital, commended the couple and prayed for God’s blessings to enable them to continue their charitable works.
Dr Emmanuel Asante, Clinical Care Coordinator at Tafo Hospital, and Mrs Faustina Agyeiwaa of Manhyia District Hospital, also thanked the couple on behalf of the hospitals and patients, describing the donation as a timely intervention.
