(VIDEO) Kenyase Adwumam Protest Over Poor Road Network

Residents of Kenyase Adwumam in the Kwabre East Municipal of the Ashanti Region have taken to the street to register displeasure over bad roads in the community.
The residents and commercial vehicle drivers blocked the road with blazing car tyres and prevented entry and exit of vehicles in the community.
Drivers from GPRTU Kenyase branch told Opemsuo radio’s Kwame Adu Gyamfi, they had suspended their work for the protest.
The angry protesters clad in red bemoaned:“We have never seen a tarred road in our community. We vote but no developmental project has been undertaken here. We don’t have a public toilet facility here. We have a chief but don’t see any developmental project. We don’t see any developmental project the president or our DCE or MP have done here. We won’t vote if our challenges are not addressed. This won’t be the first time we protest, it will be continuous. This is just the beginning, we will continue until the president hears our voice”.
“They bring machines onto the road when we are heading towards election after that they take the machines away. That is what they have been doing to us. All we need is a good road. We are unable use the road when it rains”, a resident said.
