Ken Agyapong’s Campaign Team Seeks Support from Alan’s Supporters
Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team is actively seeking the support of Alan Kyerematen and his followers as they gear up for the November 4th delegates’ congress.
Alan Kyerematen’s recent withdrawal from the race and subsequent resignation from the NPP have raised concerns within the party, prompting Agyapong’s team to make a strategic move.
Speaking to the press in Accra, Sammy Crabbe, a member of the Ken for President Campaign Team, stressed the significance of political unity and the power of numbers.
He stated, “Politics is about numbers, and we count numbers at the end of the day to win. So of course it should concern us, it should concern Ken as the flagbearer going into December 2024. We must try as much as possible to organise everyone. If you join Alan’s and Ken’s votes together, Bawumia will be defeated.”
Crabbe continued, “That is what it is. So all that it is that there will be no need for a second round; we are going to win in the first round, and we shall defeat the vice president. That is what we are going to do.”
On Monday, Alan declared his departure from the NPP after being a member for 31 years.
He revealed his intention to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming 2024 Presidential election.
Allan cited concerns about the intimidation of his supporters, controversial decisions by the NPP leadership, and allegations of some leaders hijacking the party as reasons for his decision.
