KATH Seeks Assistance in Finding Family of Patient
The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has appealed to the public to help find the family of a man who was run down by a vehicle last month in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
In a communique issued on their Facebook page, the hospital said the patient identified as Emmanuel Yeboah was due to be discharged on July 8; however this has been delayed due to uncertainities about his identity.
It said the patient was brought to the hospital on June 22 by the police with injuries from a car accident.
“On 22nd June 2024, an unidentified male patient was brought to the Accident and Emergency Centre at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by the police after being knocked down by a car between the Suame roundabout and CPC junction at Krofuom in Kumasi.
“The patient remained unknown even though he has intermittently been mentioning the name ‘Emmanuel Yeboah’, which hospital staff suspect may be his name. However, without further information or family members coming forward, his identity and background remained unestablished.”
His situation, the hospital said has created a challenge for the hospital and thereby their request for public assistance in identifying him.
“The assistance of the public to identify the patient and locate his family members or friends is urgently required. Any member of the public should please contact Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital via 0243900598/059380400/0556490026.”
