I’ve Shielded My Dream to Become a Musician- Kofi Aduonum

Kofi Owusu Aduonum, the husband of Guinness World Record (GWR) attempter Afua Asantewaa Aduonum like his wife, has a hidden love and passion for music.
According to him, the passion has been with him since the days of his youth.
“I wanted to be a musician. I follow the music. I was so conversant to the extent that while we were using cassettes. I yearned to be a musician,” the Sports Journalist said in an interview with Afia Amankwa on Mahyease.
Asked, he pointed to Charles Amoah as his biggest inspiration, highlighting “Eye Odo Asem” as his all-time favourite from the disco and burger highlife artiste.
Though he says he has kept his passion alive until now, he intends to pursue it later in life.
“A footballer some time ago won the Africa Player of the Year and in an interview, he said some people’s stars shine quite early while others shine later. Though I have shielded that dream, I will definitely do it,” he said in response to his description as a “disappointed musician” by the host.
He said music and Ministry are two things he will definitely engage in in his lifetime.
His wife is a two-time attempter for the world’s longest singing marathon by an individual.
