I’ve Never met Lil Win in Person- Martha Ankoma

Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has revealed she has never had any in-person encounter with Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win.

However, she said their encounters has been through phone conversations.

This took place when Lil Win needed her assistance in reaching a deal with GTP, a brand she represented, she revealed.

“Before God and man, I have not met Lil Win physically and our paths have never crossed before. The only time I spoke to him was when he called me on phone for a favour. You know the iPhone keeps records. So, this was the only time Lil Win called me and asked for a favour with the very GTP he insulted me with.

“God being so good, I spoke to GTP. I don’t know if he went to see them or not. But, if Lil Win, would speak the truth, he reached out to thank me, afterwards…I also sent him a number for him to call, adding that they had assured he would be given a good deal. I asked him to reach out to me in case he needed further assistance,” 3News quotes Martha as saying during an interview with Accra Fm.

Throughout these moments and since, she said she has never met him in person.

“That’s the only time I ever spoke to Lil Win. I’ve not seen him physically before.”

The two are embroiled in a legal tussle which emanated from some jabs Lil Win took threw at the lady and in the process, factored in her ambassadorial deal with GTP Fashion.

His attack sprang from an alleged derogatory remark she made against Kumawood when she was offered a movie role by Director Fiifi Gharbin.

Martha filed a writ with the Accra High Court on February 14, 2024 demanding a sum of GHC5million in damages, compensatory damages for the damage done to her reputation and an apology for an alleged defamatory statement.

Multiple reports indicate that the parties have reached an out-of-court settlement agreement.
