I’m Proud of My Players; Ogum after 4-1 Win
Prosper Narteh Ogum says the whole technical team of Asante Kotoko SC is proud of the output of the players which delivered an emphatic victory over Visions FC.
“I’m so proud of them. The whole technical team is proud of them especially based on what we saw,” he said at the post-match press conference on Sunday.
He noted that the display of the team reflected their practices at training.
“We saw a lot of offensive patterns of play, a replica of what we have been doing at training and that invariably tells us that they are transferring what we do at training into the game and they are doing them with ease leading to the creation of a lot of chances.”
But for the lack of composure in some of the situations, he said Kotoko would have scored more goals.
“I think the score would have been an avalanche of goals but then scoring four is okay. It’s the maximum points that we want especially for the fact that Vision came in strongly to come and play and you could see they are a very good team. They love to keep the ball a lot. They try to play in the spaces behind the opponents which they did a lot in the game,” he said, adding that his boys were able to quell their tactics.
He continues to see challenges in converting chances which he says are still being worked on.
Kotoko are holding onto the third place on the log with 31 points after 17 games.
