I Was Misled into Ghana- Comic Actor Parrot Mouth

Nigerian comic actor, Parrot Mouth, has opened up about his migration to Ghana some years ago, calling it a mistake.

According to him, he was misled into moving from his parents’ makeshift apartment, where he lived alongside his seven siblings.

Recounting the incident, he said it followed his encounter with a family who had returned to Nigeria for the burial of their father.

“A family came from Ghana to bury their father. They said they needed a labourer to do some little work for them, and that’s how I came into contact with them.”

Impressed by his hard work, he recalled that the family proposed taking him to Ghana to enrol him in an educational institution.

On following them to Ghana, he found out that it was a sham.

“When I came, I found out it was something different entirely, so I ended up in the streets. I used to sleep on the streets of Lapaz,” he said in an interview on GTV.

Tracing this to his transition into comedy, he said he applied and got employed by a security company and provided services to a household until the said house was attacked by armed robbers one night.

He said he got fired afterwards for complying with the instructions of armed robbers to open the gate and subsequently resigned from the security company.

From there, he resorted to comedy.
