I Walk Majestically to Manhyia Palace Anytime Kotoko Wins – Nana Apinkra

The occupant of Apinkra Benyade Stool Lands, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua (Kontomponiaferehene) and the Chairman of Asante Kotoko, has advised the team ahead of their Round of 16 MTN FA Cup game.
The Porcupine Warriors will defend their championship against the Ogya Lads in the FA Cup Round of 32 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the fourth time the two sides have met in the competition.
The Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, on Thursday paid a courtesy call to Adako Jachie, the training facilities of the defending champions of the FA Cup.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko was engaged in a friendly game with Adom Football Club, a Division 2 team in the Ashanti Region, which they won by a 2:1 scoreline and had to pay attention to Nana Apinkra for his reason for the visitation.
The chairman, Nana Apinkra, was accompanied by several dignitaries at the front of the fans’ hierarchy, including Chairman Kwaku Amponsah, Solomon Ofosu Ware, and Alexander Asare Manu, who all had a pep talk with the technical team and the players.
“You all came from your individual homes to achieve a target for Asante Kotoko, it’s not for Prince either; it’s for Baba, it’s for everybody. When there’s a win, we all walk broad-chested, including the technical bench,” Nana Apinkra stated.
Nana Apinkra hinted to the players and the technical team about how he manages to enter the gates of the Manhyia Palace, the seat of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, anytime the team wins and when the team drops a game.
Nana declared, “When I’m going to the Manhyia Palace, I walk majestically when there’s a win, but when you lose, I have to pass behind the bus and sneak, before everybody notices I’m seated, when we close, I fly away before they notice.”
