I Prefer Winning a Double- Coach Zito
Head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Coach Karim Zito, is desiring a double in the ongoing season.
Though he said winning at least a title will be fine, he prefers two- the MTN FA Cup and the Premier League.
According to him, this aim is being advanced by tackling games individually and one at a time.
Speaking after his 4-1 win against Dreams FC on Sunday, he said, “I never knew I was coming to Kotoko. I was just lying down when I had a call, and I was asked to come for the technical director job, not coaching.
“Unfortunately, my own boy left, so I had to take over till the season ends. So for now, leave me in peace to work and see out the rest of the league and then the knockout [FA Cup Final]. I prefer [winning] a double, so for the position, it doesn’t matter. What matters now is I’m leading the team, and we have to do better.”
Kotoko is in the final of the FA Cup and will battle Golden Kick for the title. Meanwhile, the Porcupines are in fourth place in the league with 54 points.
