I Pray Every Day, I Know God Loves Me; Trans Woman Shares
Trans woman, Martin Hughes, known on social media as Ohemartin says she prays to God every day and is fully conscious about the love of God towards her despite her self-made gender.
She opined that her gender glorifies God although many Ghanaians and a part of the human race are against it.
Speaking on the Delay Show, the unemployed transwoman upheld that God doesn’t make a mistake.
“People might say this thing is wrong (Transgender) but God created me so is God wrong for creating me too?”, she quizzed.
She noted that “We have to involve God in everything whether right or wrong”.
Born male but now “woman”, She relayed that she felt uncomfortable growing up as a boy because she was ridiculed for having feminine traits.
She described as hell, her experience at the Mfantsipim School where she attained her high school education citing constant bullying.
Ohemartin opts for female washrooms in public places instead of that male’s. “I don’t see anything wrong with that”, she stressed.
The transwoman, 32, who claims to be a vestal, noted she is asexual yet, wants to procreate.
“I wanna have kids. There are so many ways of having kids, there is surrogacy… I will opt for a surrogate mother”, she indicated.
She opposes assertions that LGBTQ is a psychological ailment. According to her, “It’s just a vague opinion. It’s just ignorance.”
Currently unemployed and depending on allowances from her mother, Ohemartin said she is in the process of “venturing into hair and make-up”.
