I Know You Can Lead Ghana; Otumfuo to Bawumia
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has expressed confidence in the 2024 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, in taking over the affairs of the country.
His Majesty believes the politician is competent enough to lead the country if elected President of the Republic come December 2024.
He made this known when the Vice President who is running for the Presidency on the ticket of the NPP called on him and the Kumasi Traditional Council at the Manhyia Palace on June 12, 2024, to seek his blessings.
Otumfuo advised the veep to stay humble and convey his message effectively to win the trust of Ghanaians.
“Sell your vision very well to Ghanaians. You have not changed. You have remained humble and have to continue that way. You have to respect Ghanaians and convey your vision succinctly to them. If by God’s grace, Ghanaians give you the mandate, I know you can do it well.”
He assured him of his constant prayers.
The Vice President who is on a three-day campaign tour in the Ashanti Region was accompanied by National and Regional Executives of the party as well as some government officials including the NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo and MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.
