I Invested the Grief of Losing My Mom into Hustle- Delay

Ghanaian entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has shared her emotional journey of coping with the loss of her mother, revealing the heartbreak and struggles that followed.
According to her, the demise of her mother made her a workaholic.
Work, she said, became a coping mechanism to resist heartbreak and fight grief.
The celebrated TV host, in a Facebook post on Saturday, wrote, “I’m addicted to work. When I sit down for a few minutes, and I’m doing nothing, I literally will try to find something to do. I started doing it as a coping mechanism for my mother’s death, and I haven’t been able to stop.”
“My mum’s death broke my heart into pieces, and I never got the chance to really mourn. I had to survive after her death cos I was broke and didn’t have a cedi to my name. I didn’t get to confront the grief, pain and the heaviness. I poured it all into work and got hooked!!!|”
However, looking back, she feels God has been faithful to her.
“I never knew the Lord would favour me this way!!!!!”
