I Feel Naked; Ameyaw Debrah After Losing Twitter Blue Tick Verification
Blogger Ameyaw Debrah has described the feeling of not having a blue tick against his Twitter account.
In a tweet on Thursday when the wave began hit some Twitter accounts across the world, the blogger for the first time without the blue badge made a tweet to share his feeling.
According to him, it feels like nakedness.
He tweeted, “finally i have lost my twitter verification, as promised by @elonmusk ( i feel naked lol ).”

He is not the only Ghanaian to have lost the verification.
Almost all media Houses, football clubs, journalists, celebrities, politicians, etc have all lost theirs.
UTV, TV3, Saddick Adams, Delay, John Dumelo, Fella Makafui, Ama K Abebrese, KiDi, Sarkodie, etc are all without the badge now.
A handful of known Ghanaians including President Akufo-Addo and Nana Aba Anamoah still have their verification.
The blue tick made it easier to identify authentic accounts of celebrities, politicians and high-profile personalities from fake ones.
It was introduced in 2009.
Twitter users who wish to retain the check beside their name must pay $84 a year to subscribe to Twitter Blue.
