I Believe In Jesus But Not In Power Of His Name; Kyiri Abosom
The founder of Life Assembly Worship Centre, Rev Christian Kwabena Andrew, popularly known as Kyiri Abosome has said he does not believe the name of Jesus holds power as communicated by the Word of God.
Although he asserts that he is a Christian and believes Jesus is the son of God, he does not believe Jesus can solve any problem of humanity.
He said this during an interview on the Delay Show.
“I believe in Jesus but I don’t believe the name of Jesus can solve a problem but the spirit in me.”
He is not a bible-believing Christian but a spirit-believing one and teaches his church members the same, he said.
“I am a holy spirit-believing Christian”, he stated.
He noted that Christ is dead and is, therefore, of no significance.
Authenticity Of The Bible
Another controversial statement Kyiri Abosome made was about his doubts about the authenticity of the things written in the bible.
According to him, the sacred book of Christians is fake and holds no power.
He said he realised the bible is not authentic during his childhood but noted that he still uses it for “reference and comparison”.
“I haven’t stopped using the bible. I use it for reference and comparison. There is no power in it. I realised that in my childhood. The power is in me…I subscribe to some of the messages in the bible but I deem some of them fake. The book is not authentic.”
He alluded to Matthew Chapter 5- the Beatitude- and Luke Chapter 16:19-31- Lazarus and the Rich man- as some aspects of the bible he deems delusional.
According to him, he takes wisdom from Becca’s ‘You lied’ song than Matthew Chapter 5 which he said doesn’t solve any problem.
He also noted that there is neither heaven nor hell.
Branches
After spreading his gospel to the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions, he now looks forward to spreading it further to the Northern and Volta regions in fulfilment of an instruction he said he had from God.
