How Arteta Hired “Professional Pickpockets” for Team Lesson
Before the season begins, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has deployed different avenues of teaching and shaping his team for the next season.
One of such events has left not just players but the world in awe as the Spanish football Manager reportedly hired a team of professional pickpockets to sink consciousness in his players during a dinner.
Unknown to the players, these pickpockets went round and picked valuables including phones and wallets out of their pockets without them noticing.
At the end of meal, the 42-year-old stood before the playing body in the room and ordered them all to empty their pockets only for them to realise their pockets had already been emptied.
This is part of Arteta’s strategy to psych the team for the upcoming season. This is for the team to be prepared and alerts at all material times whether on or off the pitch.
Though his leadership has witnessed a transformation of the team into title chasers, their quest for titles has proven difficult.
The team narrowly missed out on the English Premier League (EPL) title in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, all to Manchester City.
Arteta was appointed in December 2019.
