Help Us Iron Out Differences with Kotoko; Nsoatreman Fans to GFA

The Nsoatreman FC Supporters Club has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to help the football club smoke the peace pipe with Asante Kotoko SC.

The group deems this action necessary after the killing of a Porcupine fan at Nsoatre during a match day soured the relationship both clubs share.

“We’d like to humbly call Ghana Football Association and all lovers of football to intervene on our behalf and facilitate a peace pipe between Nsoatre (Nsoatreman FC) and (Asanteman)-Kumasi Asante Kotoko.”

Extending its condolences to Kotoko, it condemned the action as “barbaric”, adding that it was playing its part to assist the security agencies in bringing the perpetrators to book.

The group stressing the brotherhood the two clubs have shared in the past, further pleaded with the management to consciously work to protect it.

“We also plead with our management to do all the necessary due diligence and take steps to foster and strengthen the unity that has existed between Nsoatre and the Asante people.

“The love between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC is more than a friend. Asante Kotoko always uses the Nsoatreman FC complex whenever they come to the Bono Region because our club president is a big fan of Asante Kotoko. He also invited Asante Kotoko for a ceremonial match and get-to-gather when the Baffour sports complex was officially open.”

It also recalled how Nsoatreman FC was selected to play Kotoko in the first edition of the Kufour Cup at Kumasi.
