Helicopter Crash: Burial For Murtala And Muniru Scheduled For Sunday
The government has announced a burial arrangement for the two Muslims who died aboard a Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter that crashed on Wednesday.
In a notice, the Presidency said Hon Murtala Mohammed, the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology and Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, the Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, will be buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic Tradition, Custom and Practices.
Their burial rites will be performed at Muslim Jannaza Prayer time on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
It will be held at the Forecourt of State House.
Meanwhile, the former government officials will be buried same day around 2:30 pm at the Military Cemetery in Accra.
The two Muslims were among eight persons who died during the crash on August 6, 2025.
