Heart’s Salim Created Dangerous Situations For Us- Ogum
Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has acknowledged the significant threat Hearts’ versatile Salim Adams posed to his team at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium during their super clash on Sunday.
In a post-match press conference, he described the midfielder as an excellent player.
That notwithstanding, Ogum noted that Justice Blay matched up to successfully neutralize his threat.
“They looked more compact in the middle of the park. Salim is an excellent player, he has a lot of vision, and he created a lot of dangerous situations for us but then I think Blay was up to the task to try and mark him out.
“Hearts of Oak played very well, we must admit that. They had a good structure and they knew what they were doing with the structure. We also had a good structure and that made the game compact, very tight and very beautiful.”
After a goalless first half, Kotoko broke the deadlock in added time thanks to talisman Albert Amoah to mark their emphatic win and deny their arch-rivals a share of the spoil.
The win has pushed Kotoko to sixth on the log with 21 points and three points ahead of Hearts.
