Hearts of Oak Lodges Complaint to FIFA Against South African Side Siwelele FC Over Striker Hamza Issah

Accra Hearts of Oak has filed a complaint with FIFA against South African Premiership side Siwelele FC over the unauthorized approach of their contracted forward Hamza Issah – who has four league goals so far this season

Initially, there were reports last week that the Auroras graduate has been declared a free agent by FIFA and wasn’t going to feature for the Rainbow Club anymore but surprisingly he played in the Super Clash over the weekend but unfortunately he was forced out with injury after just 24 minutes into the game.

The Phobians are alarmed by the conduct of Siwelele Football Club, which engaged the player, issued an invitation, and facilitated travel arrangements without notifying or seeking the consent of Hearts of Oak, despite the existence of an active contract.

This constitutes player inducement and unlawful interference with a subsisting contractual relationship, in clear violation of FIFA Regulations on the status and transfer of players.

Hearts of Oak insists that no formal permission was granted for any negotiations or contact with the player, and they have lodged the official complaint to protect their rights and contractual obligations.

The incident comes amid ongoing tensions surrounding Hamza Issah, who has been at the centre of salary disputes and termination threats, but the club maintains he remains under a valid contract with no ruling yet ending it.

The Rainbow Club hierarchy are expected to pursue the matter strongly through FIFA and other relevant authorities as they seek to uphold discipline in player approaches and safeguard their squad ahead of the ongoing campaign.
