Health Minister Agyemang-Manu Meets WHO Director


The Minister for Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu has paid the Director-General of World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a visit in Geneva in Switzerland.
His visit, he said, was to discuss with him means of ramping up COVID-19 vaccination as well as issues relating to noncommunicable diseases in Ghana.
This was announced by the Ministry of Health on its Facebook page.
“Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, met with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, WHO to discuss on how to ramp up #COVID19 vaccination; how to prevent & #BeatNCDs in Ghana, especially childhood, breast & prostate cancer. They agreed that strengthening primary health care is key to keep the people in healthy.”
