Govt Takes Delivery of 100 New Buses

A first batch of newly procured buses by the government has arrived in the country.
This was confirmed by the government spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Sunday in a Facebook post.
According to him, the vehicles are 29-seater buses and imported to address the recent challenges in public transport system.
Another batch of 100 are expected to arrive in August with the last batch of 100 arriving in November, he communicated.
The arrival of the buses follows the recent shortages of commercial vehicles in parts of the country, which left many commuters stranded at bus stops and transport terminals, particularly during peak periods.
This will bring relief to the public and improve the transport sector.
