Gov’t Consulted Us Before IMF Engagement – NDPC Refutes Claims

Dr. Kodjo Essiam Mensah Abrampah, Head of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) has announced that rumor Circulating that the government did not consult NDPC before going to the IMF is untrue.

Dr. Kodjo Essiam stated that, nothing is going on in the governance of the country that NDPC is not aware and it can never happen that way.

In an interview with the media, Dr. Kodjo Essiam disclosed that, NDPC advised the government to call on IMF for help due to the degree of the economic crisis the nation has encountered.

Dr. Essiam Mensah indicated that it is the government’s intention of involving the IMF to help stabilize the country’s finances and the overall economy.
