Goldbod to Contract Gold Coast Refinery for Gold Refining

The Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod) has announced plans to contract Gold Coast Refinery to add value to minerals mined in the country.

An agreement is expected to be signed on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, as announced in a statement issued on January 19, 2026.

The occasion will take place at 10:00 am at the Conference Room, 5th Floor, GoldBod Head Office, Accra, with the Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson (MP), as Special Guest of Honour.

Inviting the media for coverage, Goldbod said the partnership will mark an important step in strengthening Ghanaโ€™s gold value chain.

It also stressed that it will enhance local refining capacity and advance the countryโ€™s broader industrialisation agenda.
