God Didn’t Create Two Genders For Only One to Work- KNUST VC

The Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Prof Rita Akosua Dickson, has provoked the minds of young girls into searching inwardly to discover and make use of their potential.

Speaking at the Mentorship Masterclass Programme at the KNUST on March 7, 2025, she simplified the advocacy for gender equality by describing God as an economist.

According to her, had God wanted only man to operate on earth, he would have created only man.

“God is an economist. Yes, he is an economical God. He wouldn’t place two people on this planet and expect that it’s only one group that must get the job done. He put all of us here for a reason.”

She drew an analogy between gender inequality and intentionally impairing a limb.

“You have two hands, why will you tie one behind you and say that you are just going to use one? Why?”

Gracing the event was the wife of the Asantehene, Lady Julia, Board Chairman of the OOTIIF, Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Mamponghemaa, Nana Agyakoma Difie II and Ejisuhemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II.
