Ghanaians Should Brace For a Shocker in Coming Weeks; A-G on Investigations

The Attorney-General and the Minister for Justice, Dominic Ayine, has urged Ghanaians to brace for briefings he will be granting over ongoing investigations that have in recent days led to the arrest of some former officials under the Akufo-Addo government.
After disclosing that the past Director of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu Boahen, diverted and embezzled up to GHS 39 million belonging to the NSB, he indicated that it was nothing compared to what is to come in the coming weeks.
According to him, the revelations that will be put out by his office will “shock the conscience” of the nation.
He described the outcomes of the various investigations as “rumble in the jungle” while juxtaposing it to that of Mr Adu Boahene’s corruption allegations.
“We are working diligently on several dossiers that will shock the conscience of the nation. If what suspect Adu Boahen and his wife have done is like a trailer in Manila, please brace yourself for a rumble in the jungle in the next few weeks.”
Dr Ayine believes President John Dramani Mahama was right to describe the country as a crime scene.
“When the President of the Republic observed that the Country was a crime scene, he knew what he was talking about. Some people bashed him for it but the President knows because I brief him on a constant and regular basis on what is happening with respect to our investigations.”
