Ghanaians have the right to demonstrate – Public Interest Advocate

Executive Director for Public Interest Advocate, Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansa has stated that Ghanaians have the right to demonstrate hence the Minister of Roads and Highways Kwasi Amoako-Atta’s message to Ghanaians who demonstrate to demand better roads is disrespectful.

“It is spelled out in the 1992 constitution that any citizen can embark on a peaceful demonstration so what is the Minister of Roads and Highway communicating to Ghanaians”?

Speaking in an interview on Opemsuo radio’s Morning show Nkwantananso today, he noted that President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo once led a demonstration in the country some time.

According to the Public Interest Advocate, the Minister of Roads and Highways shouldn’t make Ghanaians angry if he has nothing to say.

“No one will demonstrate without knowing what he or she is doing,” he said there are more demonstrations on its way and no one can stop it” he added.
