Ghana to Undertake Emergency Evacuation for Nationals in Qatar

Ghanaians in Qatar are set to be evacuated in the wake of the heightened security situation in the Middle East.

A statement by the Embassy said that an emergency one-way evacuation had been organised.

“The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Qatar wishes to refer to its earlier notice dated 6th March, 2026, and to inform all Ghanaians living in Qatar that the Government of the Republic of Ghana has decided to undertake an emergency evacuation exercise in Qatar in the wake of the heightened security situation in the Region.”

It therefore directed Ghanaians who wish to be evacuated immediately to Ghana to reconfirm their interest by submitting the biodata pages of their passports by email to dohaamfa.gov.gh.

The deadline for the submission is set for Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
