Ghana Takes On Guinea Today In Olympic Games Qualifiers
The Black Queens of Ghana are being hosted by Guinea later today at the Stade de Generale Lansana Conte.
Ghana is hopeful of nothing short of a win in the first leg of the qualifier against Guinea for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
“These are the tasks and they know what to do for a sure win tomorrow,” Black Queens Coach, Nora Häuptle, said during a pre-match press conference.
Relaying her strategy towards a win, she said, “We have different tasks given to the players. Everybody has a role, positioning and game plan that they need to stick on. I demand my players mostly to work with cohesion, support each other and fight for each other” she said.
She, however, expressed her “respect” for Guinea which she said was due to the team’s studded young players.
“We want to turn towards success and this is why we are here. We also have respect for our opponent who got a lot of young players in their team but we see what happens tomorrow,” she said during a press conference on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
The Black Queens will face Guinea at 4:00 pm today.
