Ghana Police Service Maintains Top Spot as Most Corrupt Institution- Polls

The Ghana Police Service sits atop the list of 14 institutions that featured in Global InfoAnalytics’ corruption perception index.
The security agency for the fourth consecutive time retained the spot with a score of 6.43%.
It is closely followed by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) at a score of 5.86%.
Compared to the August 2024 Afrobaromter, the Judiciary has climbed up to third place with a score of 5.78% while the presidency is now perceived as the least corrupt compared to the August report at 12th place with 5.27%.
Tax officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) came fourth with 5.68%; local government representatives with 5.63%; Business Executives with 5,63%; Officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) with 5.58%; and traditional leaders with 5.58%.
Also, traditional leaders followed with a score of 5.51%; the Parliament of Ghana with 5.47%; Prisons Service with 5.43%; the Military with 5.27%; Presidency with 5.27%; Religious Leader with 5.25%; and government officials and Ministers last with 4.61%.
