Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference Pats EC Boss for Professionalism
The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) has commended the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana Chairperson, Jean Mensah for administering the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections professionally.
“Despite the challenges that inevitably accompany the conduct of elections in any democracy, the EC’s dedication to upholding the integrity of the electoral process has been evident, ensuring that Ghana continues to serve as a model of democracy on the African continent.”
It posited that she demonstrated exemplary leadership and steadfast commitment to the Electoral Commission’s mandate.
It recognizes that her stewardship has strengthened public confidence in the country’s electoral systems through the delivery of a credible electoral process.
The Conference also commended her ability to engage all stakeholders in the electoral process making it seamless.
“In addition, we applaud the EC for its effective collaboration with other stakeholders, including political parties, security agencies, civil society organizations, and the electorate, ensuring that the process was peaceful, transparent, and conducted in a manner that reflects the will of the people.”
