GES Arranges Supplementary Aptitude Test for Teachers Who Missed Earlier Promotion Exam

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has arranged a supplementary aptitude test for teachers who missed an earlier promotion test.
Index numbers for candidates will be released directly via text message by Monday, February 9, 2026, it said in a statement.
“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform qualified teachers who applied for the 2025 promotion aptitude test but could not take the test due to circumstances beyond their control that a supplementary aptitude test has been scheduled for them,” it said.
The supplementary test will take place on February 17, 2026, at 9 am at designated centres.
Teachers in Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, and Bono East regions have been designated Wesley College of Education in Kumasi, while those in Central, Western and Western North will sit for the test at NLT at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Teachers in the Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti and Volta regions will take their test at the Accra College of Education, Accra, while those in the North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West regions will sit for it at the Tamale College of Education.
