Gang Invades Home and Office of Ursula Owusu
The police have announced an invasion of the home and office of the Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, by a gang.
The group numbering about 15 is said to have vandalized and ransacked her home and office on Monday, December 9, 2024.
According to the police, they made away with three motorbikes, one pickup vehicle and a 32-inch Samsung television set, among others.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
“The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into an incident in which a gang of about 15 men, invaded and vandalised the office and residence of the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Honourable Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.”
As part of the investigations, Crime Scene Management team visited the scene.
“Currently, a targeted intelligence-led operation is ongoing to get the suspects arrested to face justice, and we assure the public that we will get them.”
The police service has since enhanced security at her residence and office.
The outgoing Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency lost her seat in the polls that took place on Saturday, December 7.
She lost to the National Democratic Congress’ Rev. Kweku Addo who garnered 31,866 votes.
Meanwhile, she secured 26,575 votes.
