Gabby Otchere Darko Congratulates Ghanaians over “New Dawn”
Gabby Otchere Darko, a leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reacted to the takeover of Ghana’s administration by President John Dramani Mahama.
In a congratulatory message to Ghanaians, he highlighted the people’s expectation of a “new dawn” and “hope” from the new leader who promised to reset and develop the West African country.
“Congratulations Ghana! New head. New set. New dawn. New hopes. Great expectations. Wishing the new leadership and Ghana the best in all things possible.”
He added, “Ghana is indeed beautiful! Let’s have the courage to celebrate the beauty about Ghana that others so easily celebrate and reference.”
President Mahama in his inaugural speech on January 7, 2025, promised a new beginning and equal access to opportunities by all persons under his regime.
“Where people buffeted by the severe economic crisis and hardships and in the last few years, we have ledged from crisis to crisis. But there is hope on the horizon. Today should mark the beginning of a new opportunity, an opportunity for us too make a difference in our governance and our economic management. We shall reset our dear nation Ghana.”
He also highlighted the macroeconomy, business environment, micro-economy, governance and constitutional reforms and corruption as his priority.
