GA/R: Police Announces Temporary Road Closure And Diversions Tomorrow

The Ghana Police Service has announced a temporary closure and diversion of roads to make way for this year’s edition of the Millennium Marathon.
The event, organised by Millennium Marathon Sports Limited (MMSL), will witness the closure of Atta Mills High Street towards Osu, Liberation Road and 37 intersections towards the Central Business District (CBD).
Other roads that would be affected are Independence Avenue at National Theatre Traffic Light, La Beach Road, Oxford Street, Cantonment Road and Jawaharlal Nerhru Road.
Concerning the diverted road, it said motorists from Liberation Road are to use the Kaokudi road through Kanda Highway and link up to the Barnes Road to the Central Business District (CBD) or Giffard Road to Osu.
Also, motorists plying the Atta Mills Highway should use the Liberia and Barnes roads to 37 intersections to link up to Osu and La.
Motorists on Giffard Street should use 37 intersections through Kaokudi to Dr. Hilla Liman High Street to the CBD.
The Police would like to remind the general public to plan for alternative routes before embarking on their journey, as no vehicle will be allowed to park on the road.
It added that traffic police officers will be available to assist motorists who may need assistance at any point in time.
