G/AR: Fire Breaks Out at Rubber Recycling Factory at Afienya

A blaze has razed through a rubber factory located at Afeinya off Akosombo road in the Greater Accra Region.

The incident has led to a significant loss of resources as the facility appears to be completely destroyed.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, the fire started around 2 pm on March 26, 2026.

Five pumps from five stations including Gbetsile, Ashaiman, Devtraco, and Tema Regional Headquarters fire stations are currently at the Scene trying to douse the flames.

The firefighters are also being assisted by personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) from the Michel Camp.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
