[Full Text]: Mahama Endorses Asantehene’s Bawku Mediation Report

In a definitive statement, President John Dramani Mahama has endorsed the Bawku mediation report by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, as a fact-based and forward-looking roadmap to lasting peace between the Kusasis and Mamprusis.

In a statement issued on December 17, 2025, he stated that the report is not intended to apportion blame or confer victory on any party.

The government further requests His Majesty to continue to lend his distinguished leadership and moral authority to subsequent reconciliation efforts aimed at fostering enduring peace and harmonious coexistence between the Mamprusi and Kusasi communities.
