Fredrick Asare Joins Kotoko Training after Rehab

Asante Kotoko’s first-choice goalkeeper, Fredrick Asare has returned from injury following his rehab last week.

This was confirmed by the Club in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

“The captain returns to team training.”

The 26-year-old shot-stopper was ruled out of action as a result of a lingering knee injury for several weeks.

Last week, the club announced he was showing positive signs of recovery and had set out for rehabilitation.

Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum reacted to his recovery as ‘refreshing’ news, adding that the entire team was prepared to offer him the needed support to recover.

“I was informed by the medical team of Asare’s recovery process, and though there’s no definite date for his return, it’s definitely refreshing for the team because he is the leader, and it is always good to have him back,” he said last week.

In his absence, Mohamed Camara took over. It is unknown if Asare will make it onto the list for this Friday’s game against Karela United.
