Former Second Lady Passes On
Ghana’s former second lady, Hajia Ramatu Mahama has passed on, reports have indicated.
She passed away in the noon of yesterday, April 7, 2022.
Although the cause of her death was not relayed, she will be buried according to the customs of Islam, her son confirmed.
A post from Ghana’s current second lady, Samira Bawumia, expressed sadness at the news.
According to the wife of the head of Ghana’s Economic Management Team (EMT), Hajia Aliu Mahama was a mother to all.
“I am sad to learn about the passing of Former Second Lady, Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama. Hajia was a mother to all and will be fondly remembered.May Allah grant her Jannatul Firdaus”, she posted on Facebook.
Hajia Ramatu Mahama was wife to the late former vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama who passed away on November 16, 2012.
She was Ghana’s the second Lady from January 7, 2001 to January 7, 2009.
