Former NEIP Boss Denies Being Picked Up By NIB

The Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has denied being picked up by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB).

In a Facebook post, he encouraged the public to disregard the false news.

“Please ignore this fake news. No one has picked me up. I’m currently eating fufu,” he wrote on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

The ‘false’ news was conveyed by the CEO of Ghana Digital Centres Limited, Dzifa Gunu.

According to him, the arrest of the former government official followed his refusal to honour earlier invitations from the NIB to assist in investigations regarding the sale of government-sponsored overseas scholarships.

“Kofi Ofosu Nkansah has been picked up by the NIB to substantiate his allegations of sathe le of foreign scholarships. He is currently in the grips of the NIB after refusing their invitation,” Gunu noted.

Scholarship Claim
In an interview, Nkansah alleged that money was extorted from an individual to secure scholarship for studies abroad.

In reaction to this, President John Dramani Mahama issued a directive for the NIB to launch a full-scale investigation into the claims.
