Forestry Commission Announces Recruitment For Galamsey Fight

The Forestry Commission has announced a recruitment exercise as part of efforts to enhance the fight against illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
In a notice, it said, “As part of the government plan to protect our forests, lands and also fight galamsey in the country, the Forestry Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, is recruiting individuals.”
It will recruit personnel into the Forest Service Division, Wildlife Division, Timber Industry Development Division, Forestry Commission Training Centre, and the Resource Management Support Centre.
The Commission is looking for qualifications, including Senior High School Certificate and above, NVTI, Drivers and Artisans.
