Fomena: Minor, 3 Others Arrested Over Robbery Attack On An Okada Rider
Police have arrested four individuals including a minor over their alleged connection with a robbery attack on an okada rider on February 22, 2026.
The suspects have been identified as Adom Peter, Abdul Zakari, Andy Benjamin and one juvenile.
During the arrest operation, the police retrieved the victim’s Haojin motorbike, one machete, one tricyle machine, and its ignition keys.
Alleged Attack
A statement issued by the police said the victim, who had been inflicted with a machete injury on his left toe, filed a formal complaint with the Fomena Police Station.
“He told police that while returning from Old Ayaase after dropping off a passenger, he was ambushed at a section of the road by about ten tricycle riders who had barricaded the route with their tricycles and other objects.”
He reported that the group inflicted the machete wound on his leg, and made away with his unregistered Haojin motorbike valued at Ghc15,000.
“The Command assures the public of their continued commitment to protecting lives and property and urges residents to volunteer timely information to support crime prevention efforts,” the statement added.
