First Awukudae Festival of 2025 in Pictures

The first Awukudae Festival of the year 2025 on the Asanteman calendar has been observed.

The festival which coincided with New Year’s Day on January 1, 2025, was duly celebrated.

The Manhyia Palace was the place to be on the fateful day, drawing people from all corners of the country to Kumasi. It was a spotless blend of tradition and beauty.

The festival presented a perfect opportunity for participants to pay homage to the King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, wish him well and in exchange receive his blessings.

Among dignitaries who participated in the festival were Nananom, IGP George Akuffo Dampare, an NDC delegation led by Regional Chairman Andrew Nana Akwasi, representatives from the National Investment Bank, Star Assurance and Garden City University College, the Presbyterian Church, St. Cyprian’s Cathedral, the Ashanti Tennis Club, and Guinness World Records Attempter Afua Asantewaa Aduonum.
