Firefighters Investigate Ashaiman Light Industrial Area Fire

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has commenced investigations into a fire outbreak at the Ashaiman Light Industrial Area.
The inferno, which started on Tuesday afternoon, affected multiple wooden structures and two metal containers.
According to the GNFS, it was notified about the incident at 03:31, arrived at the scene at 03:38 pm and managed to confine the fire at 04:13 hrs.
“The blaze was brought under control at 04:36 hrs, and finally extinguished at 06:35 hrs.”
Data from the Service said the fire destroyed over 100 wooden structures, two metal containers with contents, and partially burnt a Mazda saloon car with registration number GN 6085-22.
Meanwhile, firefighters managed to salvage more than 20 wooden structures, several metal containers, and 8 vehicles.
“No casualties were recorded, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation,” it confirmed.
