Fire Service Presents Report On Fire At Kronum That Killed 1
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has presented a report on the fire that ravaged a plastic recycling factory and an eleven-bedroom apartment at Kronum-Kyerease in the Afigya South District of the Ashanti region.
According to the Service, firefighters got to the scene at 1551 hours and fought the fire for three hours and fifty-three seconds to douse it.
“Five (5) fire engines from Breman, Manhyia, Metro, Komfo Anokye and Regional Headquarters Sub-Station Fire Stations were deployed to contain the ferocious fire which destroyed a plastic recycling factory as well as an eleven (11) bedroom apartment.”
The fire, GNFS said, killed one person.
It added that properties worth millions of cedis were also destroyed in the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined exactly a month after it happened.

Five (5) fire engines from Breman, Manhyia, Metro, Komfo Anokye and Regional Headquarters Sub-Station Fire Stations were deployed to contain the ferocious fire which destroyed a plastic recycling factory as well as an eleven (11) bedroom apartment.
It took Firefighters 3 hours 53 minutes to bring the fast spreading ruinous fire which was reported to GNFS at 1551 hours under control. Unfortunately, one person perished in the fire which was finally knocked out at 2204 hours.
The fire whose cause is yet to be determined, destroyed the plastic recycling factory and an adjoining eleven (11) bedroom apartment and their contents which runs into millions of cedis.
