Fire Ravages Residence of Paramount Chief of Buipe

A fierce fire has destroyed two bedrooms at the official residence of the Paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional Area, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II in the Savannah Region.

This was confirmed in a press statement issued by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on February 16, 2025.

“Buipe Fire Station responded to a fire incident at Buipewura’s palace, which involved six single-bedroom apartments.”

According to the statement, the Service contained the fire in the affected two rooms and successfully extinguished it.

“Some personal belongings were affected by the fire. Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is under investigation.”
